How to prevent skin infections at the gym:

  • Always wear shoes or shocks during the exercise
  • Wear flip flops at the showers and at the locker rooms
  • Keep any cuts clean and covered
  • Choose moisture-wicking clothes
  • Use a towel to add an extra barrier between your skin and shared surfaces
  • Wash your hands right after
  • Take a shower as soon as possible
  • Dry your skin well and put a moisturizer if it is sensitive
  • Wear clean clothes and socks
  • If you notice any sign of infection visit your dermatologist
