Vascular lesions

Spider veins are a common aesthetic problem. They are dilated vessels, i.e. superficial skin vessels, whose lumen has slackened, causing vessels to become visible. They are typically located on the face, chest and legs. They are more prevalent and visible in women.

They are usually due to oestrogens (pregnancy – contraceptives), heredity, sun, aging, cortisone misuse, as well as mechanical factors and injuries (standing – waxing). Rosacea, another common dermatological condition, often causes erythema and spider veins on the face.

We can also treat other vessel lesions, such as haemangiomas and venous lakes.

In the practice the following are used:

Nd yag laser (LYRA i)
Dye lasers (V beam CANDELA)
BBL 560, 590nm (SCITON)

Depending on the case.
